Toronto, February 20, 2014: The Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) today issued a call for nominations for its highest commendation, the ACA Gold Medal Award. First presented in 1941, the ACA Gold Medal Award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of marketing communications in Canada. The deadline for submitting nominations for this year’s award is April 10.
The ACA Gold Medal Award will be presented at the 2014 Marketing Awards gala, to be held May 29 at the Carlu in Toronto.
“For 73 years, the ACA Gold Medal Award has paid tribute to our industry’s most accomplished and influential leaders for their contributions to the advancement of marketing communications,” said Ron Lund, President and CEO of the ACA. “With their passion, commitment and leadership, each honoree has left an indelible mark on an industry they have served with utmost distinction.”
The 2013 recipient was Philip Donne, President of Campbell Company of Canada.
The ACA Gold Medal Award is:
- Open to all individuals in activities that have an impact on marketing communications in Canada (advertisers, agencies, media, researchers, academics, associations, etc.)
- Awarded for a single achievement, or for accomplishments over time
- Awarded to a candidate whose contribution represents a measurable, distinctive advancement in the practice of marketing communications in Canada
